The dream of Pray for South LA is to see a disciple movement that seeks

the prosperity of South LA. God desires for his people to live spiritually

alive as his disciples, knowing their identity and authority in Christ. When

 we are living as Christ's disciples on mission, it directly impacts the

sphere of influence around us, as well as the greater community.

DEMOGRAPHICS

South LA has twice as many single parent homes as the state average.
Almost a 3rd of the population never graduated high school.
Nearly a quarter of the population lives below the poverty line.
The median income is 45% less than the state average.
The average Los Angeles renter spends 47% of their paycheck on rent; 77% of the people living just south of downtown are renters.
Most public schools are rating 1’s & 2’s on a scale of 10.
